AMMAN — The Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) said on Monday that Iran had fired five missiles and a drone towards the Kingdom over the past 24 hours.
JAF Media Directories said that the Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) has intercepted the five missiles and a drone.
The Public Security Directorate (PSD) said that its units had handled 20 reports over the past 24 hours involving falling shrapnel and projectiles.
The PSD spokesperson said a woman was injured after missile fragments fell in her house yard in central of Jordan, noting that she left hospital after receiving treatment.
It also reiterated warnings to the public against approaching or handling suspicious objects or debris, citing potential safety risks.
While urging citizens to follow official instructions and guidance issued through authorised channels, PSD also called on the public to report any suspicious items to security services via the emergency number 911.
