The Jordan Times

AMMAN — The Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army (JAF) said on Saturday that 22 missiles were launched from Iran towards the Kingdom during the fourth week of the ongoing regional war, with most intercepted by the Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF).

In a joint statement with the Public Security Directorate (PSD), the Military Media Directorate of JAF said that the RJAF destroyed the incoming missiles, while two were not intercepted and fell in the eastern part of the Kingdom.

The JAF said the Kingdom has been directly targeted since the outbreak of the war, with a total of 262 missiles and drones launched towards its territory, targeting vital sites.

Since the start of hostilities, the RJAF has intercepted and destroyed 242 missiles and drones, while 20 projectiles have fallen inside the Kingdom.

The armed forces reiterated their commitment to safeguarding national security and protecting citizens, stressing readiness to defend the Kingdom’s borders against any violation.

The PSD said its teams, alongside the Royal Engineering Corps and Civil Defence, handled 64 reports of falling debris from missiles and drones over the past week across most governorates.

One personnel member responding to falling objects was injured during the fourth week, the PSD said, adding that the individual is in moderate condition and receiving treatment. Material damage was also reported in several areas, the statement added.

Since the beginning of the conflict, 478 incidents involving falling shrapnel and projectiles have been recorded, with a total of 25 injuries, most of who have since been discharged.

Damage has affected 25 vehicles, 55 homes and shops, as well as 14 public properties, according to the PSD.

Authorities renewed warnings against approaching or tampering with suspicious objects, urging the public to follow official guidance and report any such items via the emergency number 911, while relying on verified information and avoiding rumours.
