AMMAN — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said on Tuesday it was following up on requests and inquiries from Jordanians wishing to return to the Kingdom by land through its Operations and Consular Affairs Directorate and the Kingdom’s diplomatic missions in the Gulf states.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Fuad Majali said that Jordan’s embassies and consulates in the Gulf were receiving requests from citizens seeking to return and were forwarding them to the Jordanian Embassy in Riyadh to coordinate with the relevant authorities in Saudi Arabia on granting transit visas through its territory.
Majali expressed Jordan’s appreciation for the efforts and cooperation of the Saudi authorities in facilitating these procedures, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.
He also called on Jordanians wishing to return to the Kingdom by land to contact the Jordanian missions in the Gulf countries where they are residing or the ministry’s Operations Centre to request assistance around the clock.
