In a phone call received from Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa, the two sides emphasised the need to intensify regional and international efforts to contain tensions and prevent the region from sliding into a wider conflict.

Hassan also discussed the deteriorating regional situation in a call with Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, including what they described as unacceptable and condemned Israeli attacks on Lebanon.

The prime minister reaffirmed Jordan’s support for Lebanon in the current circumstances and backed the Lebanese government’s efforts to maintain the country’s security and stability.

In a separate call with Saudi Defence Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Al Saud, the two sides condemned Iranian attacks targeting Saudi Arabia, Jordan and several other Arab countries, stressing the right to take the necessary measures to safeguard their security and stability.
