AMMAN — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has welcomed the launch of negotiations between the United States and Iran in Muscat.
In a statement on Friday, the ministry’s spokesperson, Fouad Majali, expressed hopes the talks will lead to a comprehensive agreement that serves the interests of both sides and contributes to enhanced security and stability in the region.
Majali also expressed Jordan’s appreciation for Oman’s role in hosting the negotiations, praising its continued support for regional and international efforts aimed at de-escalation, easing tensions, and advancing peaceful solutions through diplomacy and dialogue.
Delegations from US and Iran concluded talks in Oman.
According to CNN, the two sides have agreed to hold follow-on discussions after consultations with their capitals.
