AMMAN — The Uzbek embassy in Jordan on Monday announced that the Kingdom has been invited, alongside dozens of countries, to participate in the Fifth Tashkent International Investment Forum (TIIF), scheduled for June 2026 under the theme “Investment Resilience: New Frontiers, New Partnerships.”
In a statement, the embassy highlighted shared interest in strengthening economic cooperation and expanding investment opportunities, commending Jordan’s participation in previous editions of the forum.
The TIIF would focus on ways to safeguard investments amid global economic challenges, strengthen institutional frameworks that support the resilience of emerging markets, and explore new international partnership opportunities.
The embassy said the forum comes amid strong economic performance in Uzbekistan, where GDP grew by 7.7 per cent in 2025 to exceed $147 billion. Exports rose by 24 per cent, while foreign direct investment increased by 46.9 per cent, reaching record levels compared with previous years.
It added that the previous edition of the forum attracted more than 8,000 participants from 97 countries and resulted in the signing of investment and trade agreements worth $30.5 billion, with growing emphasis on translating these agreements into on-the-ground projects.
The embassy noted that the Tashkent International Financial Centre, recently established, would feature prominently at the forum, offering an investor-friendly legal and regulatory framework, including a special legal regime, an independent regulatory authority and long-term tax incentives.
According to the statement, the forum programme would cover four main themes: investment resilience; financial market development; trade connectivity and logistics corridors; and energy transition and climate finance, with a focus on renewable energy projects and plans to increase their share in electricity generation to 54 per cent by 2030.
TIIF will also include specialised sessions and workshops, alongside bilateral business forums and an investment and industry exhibition aimed at strengthening economic cooperation and attracting foreign investment.
The embassy said the event represents a practical platform to support Uzbekistan’s investment policies amid ongoing economic reforms and institutional developments aimed at improving the business environment and expanding opportunities for international investors.
