AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Sunday inspected the Directorate of the Royal Engineering Corps.
During his visit, Huneiti, accompanied by senior officers, received a briefing from the director of the Royal Engineering Corps on the directorate’s operational efforts to deal with debris from missile and drone remnants, as well as the technical procedures followed to neutralise them in line with the highest professional standards, ensuring the removal of potential hazards and the protection of citizens and their property.
“Royal Engineering Corps personnel had handled 312 pieces of debris from drones, missiles, and warheads across the Kingdom, following approved procedures and maintaining a high level of professionalism,” he added.
Huneiti stressed that the General Command will continue to develop the technical and operational capabilities of the Royal Engineering Corps to address regional challenges, praising the competence of its personnel and the efforts of field teams deployed across the Kingdom’s governorates to safeguard lives and property, according to a Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) statement.
Huneiti also conveyed the greetings and pride of His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to JAF personnel across the Kingdom, commending their dedication and commitment to national service.
