AMMAN — Prime Minister Jafar Hassan on Monday met with Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani in Doha to discuss ways to boost bilateral relations and enhance cooperation across multiple sectors.

During the meeting, both sides reviewed Jordan’s strategic projects in energy, transport, water, tourism, and infrastructure, exploring potential areas for joint initiatives.

The prime ministers also reiterated their commitment to sustaining coordination and deepening economic ties to serve the interests of both countries and their peoples, according to a Prime Ministry statement.

The discussions also addressed regional developments, particularly the Palestinian issue. Hassan underscored the importance of full adherence to the Gaza ceasefire and implementing all its provisions, ensuring continued humanitarian and relief assistance to the Strip to alleviate the escalating crisis.

He also stressed the need to stop violations and dangerous escalation in the West Bank, while advancing a political process leading to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the two-state solution.

The meeting precedes Hassan’s participation, as a representative of His Majesty King Abdullah, in the Second World Summit for Social Development in Doha, organised by the United Nations with wide international participation.
