AMMAN — Jordan Press Association (JPA) President Tareq Momani on Saturday announced the results of the Al Hussein Award for Journalistic Creativity during the syndicate council’s regular session.
The award committee, formed on July 28, reviewed submissions related to works produced in 2024. According to the regulations, the committee submits the list of winners to the council for its information only, Momani noted.
The award for print and online journalism went to Firihan Hassan for a column, Muna Abu Hammour for a news report, and Ahmad Tamimi and the late Montaser Gharaibeh for an interview.
In the broadcast media category, Obeida Dmour won for an investigative or documentary programme, while Shadi Shakhanbeh received the award for a news story, report or radio/TV interview.
The photojournalism prize was shared by Saher Qadareh and Nazzal Abu Kaf, while the Jerusalem Award, which recognises works highlighting the city’s Arab, Islamic and international significance, went to Awda Khawaldeh.
The JPA noted that no entries were submitted for the data and mobile journalism or cartoon categories.
