AMMAN — Air defence systems intercepted and destroyed three Iranian missiles launched towards the Kingdom, while a fourth missile fell in a remote unpopulated area in the southern part of the Kingdom, the Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army (JAF) said on Sunday.
A military source from JAF said in a statement that no casualties or material damage were reported following the interception operation.
The source added that teams from the Royal Engineering Corps had begun securing and handling the missile impact site, following established technical and security procedures.
The armed forces are continuing to closely monitor Jordanian airspace and maintain the highest level of operational readiness, the source said.
The source reaffirmed that JAF would take firm measures against any threat to the Kingdom’s security and the safety of its citizens.
