AMMAN — The Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army (JAF) on Monday said that Iran had targeted the Kingdom with three drones and a missile over the past 24 hours.
In a statement, JAF said that the Royal Jordanian Air Force intercepted and destroyed two of the drones, while a third drone and the missile evaded air defence systems.
The army added that the drone and missile landed inside the Jordanian territory, resulting in two injuries.
The Public Security Directorate (PSD) said that its relevant units responded to nine reports of falling debris during the same period.
The incidents caused moderate injuries to two individuals and material damage, the PSD said. One of the injured was transported to hospital for treatment, while the other received first aid at the scene and was reported to be in good condition.
PSD renewed warnings to the public against approaching or handling suspicious objects or debris due to potential danger.
The PSD also urged citizens to follow official safety instructions and to report any suspicious objects via the emergency number 911.
