Temperatures across Jordan are expected to remain 4 to 5 degrees Celsius above their seasonal averages for this time of year, with hot weather prevailing across most regions and very hot conditions forecast for the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

 

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department, winds will be moderate northwesterly to northeasterly, becoming active at times.

 

The department warned of the possibility of reduced horizontal visibility due to dust in Badia areas. It also urged the public to avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during peak daytime hours, refrain from lighting fires in forested and open areas, and never leave children or elderly people inside parked vehicles.

 

Expected high and low temperatures are forecast as follows:

 

* East Amman: 39°C / 25°C

* West Amman: 37°C / 23°C

* Northern Highlands: 35°C / 22°C

* Sharah Highlands: 34°C / 20°C

* Badia Regions: 43°C / 24°C

* Plains: 38°C / 20°C

* Northern Jordan Valley: 44°C / 28°C

* Southern Jordan Valley: 44°C / 30°C

* Dead Sea: 44°C / 29°C

* Gulf of Aqaba: 44°C / 29°C

 

On Sunday, temperatures are expected to decline slightly, although hot weather will continue across most parts of the Kingdom, with very hot conditions persisting in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will remain moderate northwesterly to northeasterly, becoming active at intervals.

 

A further slight drop in temperatures is forecast for Monday, with hot weather continuing through Monday and Tuesday across most regions and very hot conditions in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Some high-altitude clouds are expected over eastern Jordan, while moderate northeasterly to northwesterly winds will occasionally become active.
