AMMAN — Jordan will host the second Jordan FinTech Festival 2026 on September 23-24 at the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Centre at the Dead Sea, bringing together financial institutions, regulators, fintech companies, investors and experts from Jordan and abroad.

 

Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) Governor Adel Sharakas said the festival represents a strategic national platform reflecting the transformation of the financial sector and Jordan’s vision of building an integrated digital financial system that supports sustainable development and enhances the Kingdom’s regional and international competitiveness.

 

The CBJ continues to develop regulatory policies that support innovation while protecting consumers, helping create an environment conducive to fintech growth and the development of digital financial solutions, Sharakas said, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

 

He added that the festival aims to strengthen cooperation among financial institutions, startups and regulators, while linking financial innovation to market needs and giving startups greater opportunities to connect with investors, markets and potential partners.

 

The festival is organised by the CBJ in partnership with the Association of Banks in Jordan (ABJ) and in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).

 

The event is part of efforts to strengthen Jordan’s fintech ecosystem, support digital transformation and financial inclusion, and reinforce the Kingdom’s position as a regional hub for financial technology and innovation.

 

The two-day programme will feature panel discussions and specialised workshops with local and international experts, as well as an exhibition of fintech solutions and products, startup pitch sessions and networking events.

 

Key topics will include digital payments and transformation in banking and financial services, open finance, digital assets and blockchain technologies, embedded finance, banking-as-a-platform models, entrepreneurship and investment, and the development of the startup ecosystem.

 

The programme will also address sustainable finance and environmental governance, user experience on fintech platforms, virtual assets and asset tokenisation.

 

A FinTech Hackathon will provide innovators and young people with an opportunity to develop digital solutions to challenges facing the financial sector and present their projects to experts, investors and financial institutions.

 

The festival reflects Jordan’s efforts to build a fintech ecosystem based on human capital, digital infrastructure and a sound regulatory framework, enabling companies to develop, test and scale their solutions in regional and international markets.

 

Participation is free, with experts, investors and representatives of financial institutions and startups invited to register through the festival’s official website.
