AMMAN — The government has announced on Thursday that the Jordan-European Investment Conference will be postponed until the end of 2026.
The decision, made in coordination with the European Union, comes amid logistical challenges arising from regional developments, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
The decision could also prevent “several” key partners and participants from travelling and “fully” engaging in the conference.
Jordan and the EU reaffirmed the depth of their longstanding partnership and their shared commitment to continue strengthening economic and trade cooperation.
Both sides also reiterated their commitment to strengthening ties between business communities and promoting European investments in Jordan, underlining the country’s position as a stable and open investment hub strategically situated at the crossroads of Europe, Asia and Africa.
Jordanian ministerial promotional tours in Europe have created “positive” momentum, prompting both sides to step up coordination with relevant stakeholders to hold the conference before the end of 2026, Petra reported.
