AMMAN — The Jordan Export House (JE) organised Jordanian pavilion at the 63rd Damascus International Fair, with the participation of 20 Jordanian companies representing various industrial and service sectors.
In a statement on Sunday, the company said that the Jordanian participation included companies from the food, chemical, cement, plastics and packaging industries, as well as hospitals and companies in the IT, transport and logistics sectors.
The pavilion also included the Jordan Tourism Board and the Free Zones Investors Commission, reflecting the diversity and competitiveness of Jordanian products and services in regional and international markets, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The participation aims to strengthen the presence of Jordanian companies in the Syrian market, showcase national products and services and help participating companies explore trade and investment opportunities and build ties with potential partners.
The company said that the participation is part of its efforts to support Jordanian companies’ access to external markets, enhance their competitiveness and promote national products and services, in line with the Economic Modernisation Vision and the National Export Strategy.
“The pavilion provides a platform for Jordanian companies to engage with their Syrian, regional and international counterparts, explore trade and investment opportunities and exchange expertise, helping expand trade ties and the flow of goods and services between markets,” the statement added.
The Damascus International Fair will continue until September 4, with the Jordanian participation expected to enhance economic and trade cooperation and open new opportunities for national companies in the Syrian and neighbouring markets.
