AMMAN — Jordan on Tuesday “strongly” condemned an Iranian attack targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain, which resulted in the death of a Moroccan civilian contractor working with the UAE Armed Forces and left several others injured.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the incident occurred during a routine mission in Bahrain and also led to injuries among members of the Bahrain Defence Force.
The ministry denounced the attack as a “heinous act” and “blatant violation” of Bahrain’s sovereignty, warning that it represents a serious escalation that threatens regional security and stability.
It reaffirmed Jordan’s full solidarity with Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, stressing its support for all measures taken by both countries to safeguard their sovereignty, security, and the safety of their citizens.
The ministry also extended its condolences to the family of the victim, as well as to the government and people of Morocco, and wished a swift recovery to those injured.
