AMMAN — The Royal Jordanian Air Force intercepted and shot down two drones targeting the Kingdom on Monday morning, the Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army (JAF) said.
In a statement, the JAF said that the interception resulted in no casualties or material damage.
Teams from the Royal Engineering Corps were deployed to the sites where the drone debris fell and secured the areas in accordance with established technical and security procedures, the statement said.
The Armed Forces are continuing to monitor Jordan's airspace and remain at the highest level of operational readiness to counter any threat to the Kingdom's security and the safety of its citizens, the statement added.
