AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Maj. Gen. Yusuf Huneiti, on Thursday visited the Royal Jordanian National Defence College (RJNDC) and the Command and Staff College, where he was received by the college’s commandants.
Huneiti was briefed on future plans for developing curricula and academic programmes, with discussions highlighting efforts to enhance the efficiency of both institutions in line with the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), and General Command directives.
The development strategy seeks to modernise advanced curricula to align with leading international military colleges, reflecting the institutions’ pivotal role in preparing officers capable of addressing current and future threats, according to a JAF statement.
In the presence of senior JAF officers, Huneiti stressed that strategic planning and the assessment of available military capabilities are of “paramount importance,” given the rapid developments in the region.
He added that both colleges play a key role in providing the JAF with leadership personnel trained to operate under diverse conditions, equipped to confront emerging challenges in the modern operational environment with efficiency and competence.
