AMMAN — National service conscripts on Saturday reported to the training centre at Shweier Military Camp after completing all recruitment and enrolment procedures through the approved mechanism, which was carried out entirely online in line with the organisational framework governing the National Service programme.
Director of the Mobilisation and Popular Army Directorate Shadi Abu Dalo said the enlistment procedures were implemented through a well-organised and carefully planned mechanism that regulated arrivals at the training centre, while ensuring public safety and the smooth flow of procedures, according to Al Mamlaka TV.
He added that the measures formed part of an integrated plan developed by the directorate, which included identifying transport departure points and distributing them in an organised manner across the Kingdom’s governorates, ensuring a smooth and orderly enlistment process and reflecting a high level of preparedness in carrying out this national duty.
Abu Dalo also said that the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) deployed dedicated buses to transport conscripts from across the Kingdom’s governorates to the National Service Training Centre in Shweier, ensuring their safety and ease of travel after completing all related administrative and technical procedures.
“The conscripts joined the programme after the training centre was declared fully ready, following phased upgrades that included infrastructure development, enhanced staff preparedness and the provision of modern training facilities, making the centre a model of organisation and discipline in line with standards applied across the Armed Forces’ training institutes and centres,” he said.
Abu Dalo noted that the centre, located within a military zone in Shweier, is equipped with an integrated surveillance system covering all facilities, with round-the-clock monitoring and supervision of conscripts by officers and trainers.
He added that the centre features modern residential facilities built to the highest public safety standards, supported by heating and cooling systems, comprehensive administrative and service facilities, and a medical centre providing 24-hour healthcare, in addition to modern sanitary facilities powered by clean energy systems.
The enlistment forms part of the National Service programme, a long-term strategic initiative aimed at preparing Jordanian youth and developing their character around discipline, responsibility and a sense of belonging, while fostering the values of citizenship and national commitment.
