AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi on Thursday held a phone call with Hungarian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Anita Orban to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral ties and review regional developments.
During the call, the two ministers reaffirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest and building on the progress achieved in Jordanian-Hungarian relations, both bilaterally and within the framework of cooperation with the EU, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.
Safadi and Orbán also reviewed regional developments and ongoing efforts to reduce tensions and promote security and stability in the region, particularly in light of recent diplomatic efforts involving the US and Iran.
Safadi congratulated Orban on her appointment and wished her success in her new role.
The two ministers agreed to maintain close coordination and communication to further enhance bilateral relations and address issues of common concern.
