AMMAN — The US embassy in Amman on Thursday noted that Royal Jordanian Airlines (RJ) is offering a special commercial flight from Amman to Chicago on June 6 and urged all US nationals interested in travelling on this flight to purchase tickets directly through the airline.

 

The US embassy also instructed its nationals to arrange their own transportation to Queen Alia International Airport, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. 

 

In contrast to previous flights, the embassy is not developing a list of interested passengers for this flight, nor will it have a role in approving which travellers are allowed to purchase tickets.

 

All ticket sales are fully at the discretion of the airline, the embassy said in a statement, adding that all passengers are responsible for ensuring that they have the required travel documentation necessary for departure from Jordan and entry to the United States.

 

The US embassy said that it is continuing to look at all options to support US citizens in Jordan and noted that the availability of specific transportation options may change without notice, Petra reported.
