US Embassy in Jordan announces important update for non-immigrant visa applicants

Roya News

In a recent announcement, the US Embassy in Jordan has revealed a significant change in the document requirements for non-immigrant visa applicants, effective from May 1 onwards.

According to the embassy's statement, applicants must now present two key documents upon entry into the Embassy:

DS-160 Confirmation: This confirmation serves as proof of the visa application.
USTravelDocs.com Appointment Confirmation: This document confirms the scheduled interview slot and provides a list of other necessary documents.
It is emphasized that both confirmations must feature the same DS-160 barcode number. Failure to match these numbers will result in the inability to proceed with the interview, necessitating rescheduling and updating the USTravelDocs.com profile with the correct DS-160 number.

Applicants are advised that all visa appointments are scheduled through USTravelDocs.com, where they also have the option to change their appointment up to three times without incurring additional fees.

As this change takes effect, it is imperative for applicants to mark their calendars and ensure that their documents are in order to avoid any disruptions to their travel plans.

The US Embassy in Jordan extended its best wishes for safe and successful travels to all visa applicants.
