AMMAN — CEO of the Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC) Abdel Wahab Rawad, met on Monday with the Sudan's Ambassador to Jordan Hassan Swar Dahab, to explore avenues for enhancing collaboration in the phosphate fertiliser sector.
The discussions aimed to meet Sudanese market needs and strengthen economic ties between the two countries, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During the meeting at JPMC headquarters, Rawad underscored the longstanding relations between Jordan and Sudan, particularly in the economic sphere, and stressed the company’s commitment to expanding international partnerships in line with the Royal vision to promote investment.
Rawad outlined the JPMC’s achievements and upcoming projects in manufacturing industries and specialised fertilisers.
He underscored the company’s readiness to supply Sudan with Di-ammonium phosphate (DAP) fertiliser and to provide Jordanian expertise in phosphate exploration and production, supporting the development of Sudan’s phosphate sector and enhancing its technical and production capabilities.
Swar Dahab expressed Sudan’s interest in leveraging Jordanian experience in phosphate-related industries to strengthen the country’s technical and technological capacities.
The Ambassador praised the JPMC’s advanced production capabilities and described his visit as productive, opening new prospects for joint cooperation.
