AMMAN — A hot air mass is expected to push temperatures across Jordan up to 5°C above seasonal averages on Monday, with very hot conditions forecast in the Badia, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and Aqaba, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

 

Temperatures are expected to rise further after a slight increase on Sunday, when weather will be relatively hot in most areas and hot in the Badia region. Conditions will be very hot in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and Aqaba, JMD said.

 

Winds on Monday will be moderate, shifting between northeasterly and northwesterly directions and becoming occasionally brisk.

 

The hot conditions are expected to continue into Tuesday, with temperatures remaining high across most parts of the Kingdom and very hot conditions persisting in the Badia region, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and Aqaba. Winds will remain moderate and occasionally brisk, blowing from the northeast to northwest.
