AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi on Thursday received a phone call from Yemeni Foreign Minister Afrah Al Zouba.

 

During the call, the two ministers discussed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen cooperation across various fields of mutual interest, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.

 

They also discussed regional developments, alongside ongoing efforts to de-escalate tensions, restore calm, and achieve security and stability in the region.

 

Safadi briefed his Yemeni counterpart on the outcomes of the ministerial meeting in support of Jerusalem and its holy sites, hosted by the Kingdom on Wednesday, outlining the measures detailed in the meeting’s joint statement to address illegal Israeli violations against Jerusalem and its sanctuaries.

 

Safadi extended his congratulations to Zouba on assuming her new post as Yemen’s Minister of Foreign Affairs.

 

The two ministers agreed to maintain continuous coordination and consultation regarding the enhancement of bilateral relations and regional and international issues of common concern.
