AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi on Tuesday met with Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani in Doha.
During the meeting, Safadi and Sheikh Mohammed discussed ways to enhance the deep-rooted fraternal relations between Jordan and Qatar, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.
The two top diplomats also discussed regional developments, particularly efforts aimed at reducing escalation, restoring calm and strengthening security and stability in the region.
They also reaffirmed Jordan and Qatar’s full support for all efforts and initiatives aimed at reaching a solution that guarantees freedom of maritime navigation.
They also stressed the importance of reaching a comprehensive agreement that addresses all the causes of the crisis and contributes to achieving lasting security and stability in the region.
