Houthis say successfully struck Ben Gurion Airport in ‘Israel’ with ballistic missile

Houthi military spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced Thursday, that the group's forces carried out a "qualitative military operation" targeting Ben Gurion Airport (Lod) in ‘Israel’ with a ballistic missile.
Saree said he operation was successful and halted air traffic in ‘Israel’s’ largest airport.
Sarea asserted that the missile force "carried out a qualitative operation that targeted Lod Airport in occupied Jaffa with a ‘Zolfaghar’ ballistic missile”.
He claimed the operation "achieved its goal successfully and led to the suspension of airport traffic and the escape of settlers," adding that the "interception systems of the occupation and America failed to intercept the missile."
The operation was conducted in solidarity with Gaza, per the statement.
In contrast, ‘Israeli’ sources reported that air defenses successfully intercepted the missile and that there was no impact on the airport.
This announcement is the latest in a series of attacks claimed by the Houthis against ‘Israeli’ targets since the war on Gaza began.
While the group repeatedly announces the success of its operations, the ‘Israeli’ army has consistently confirmed the success of its air defenses in intercepting the vast majority of these threats far from their intended targets.
