The Jordan Times

AMMAN — The Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), represented by the Royal Medical Services (RMS) and in cooperation with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO), on Wednesday received a consignment of relief aid from Oman to support the Kingdom’s ongoing humanitarian efforts in the Gaza Strip.

Omani Minister-Plenipotentiary and Deputy Head of Mission at the Omani embassy emphasised that the assistance reflects Muscat’s dedication to supporting the relief campaigns led by His Majesty King Abdullah, according to a JAF statement.

He added that Oman remains committed to providing continuous backing to bolster the capability of Jordanian field hospitals to carry out their humanitarian mission in the war-torn enclave.

For his part, the commander of field medicine and representative of the RMS expressed appreciation for the brotherly gesture, highlighting the “deep-rooted” ties between the two nations.

He noted that the donation will support the medical body's ongoing efforts to treat the wounded and sick in the strip, alleviating their suffering amid the current humanitarian crisis.

The dispatch, which comprises medical consumables, supplies and pharmaceuticals, is bound for the JAF field hospitals operating in Gaza.
