Jordan will continue to exert pressure to deliver more aid to Gaza, after a new convoy by the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) departed Amman today to the famine-stricken strip, government spokesman Mohammad Momani said on Thursday.
In statements to Roya, Momani emphasized that despite all obstacles, Jordan is “proud to be among the first to initiate and send aid.”
He stressed that "Israeli obstacles remain the primary impediment to aid reaching Gaza,” but will continue to use “all tools at its disposal to pressure for more aid.”
Momani added that the aid currently reaching Gaza "is only a small fraction of what is needed," adding, "but this should not diminish the importance of the aid or the humanitarian nobility it represents."
He also vowed that the government will pursue legal action against any party who “exploits the issue of Jordanian aid to Gaza to malign the country and its consistent positions.”
