Jordan News

Google DeepMind and Google Cloud, subsidiaries of US-based Alphabet, have announced a new initiative that will give up to 200 scientific researchers in Europe direct access to advanced artificial intelligence models, along with $3 million in computing credits to support their research projects.

According to Reuters, the announcement was made on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, as part of an effort to accelerate scientific research and enable European researchers to use the latest AI tools to address complex scientific challenges.

The initiative includes access to a range of scientific models and tools developed by Google, including AlphaFold 3, WeatherNext, AlphaGenome, AlphaEvolve and AlphaEarth Foundations.

These tools enable researchers to harness AI capabilities across various scientific fields, including studying molecular structures, analyzing genetic data, forecasting extreme weather events, and analyzing information related to the Earth and the environment.

The two companies said the initiative would help researchers tackle complex scientific challenges more quickly, from forecasting extreme weather patterns to accurately mapping molecular structures.

The move is part of Google’s efforts to expand the use of advanced AI models in scientific research by providing researchers with the tools and computing resources they need to develop their studies and accelerate the discovery of new scientific findings.
