AMMAN — HRH Crown Prince Hussein patronised the Jordan–UK Tech Connect 2025 Forum, organised by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship in cooperation with the Jordanian embassy in London.
Supported by the “Jordan Source” programme, forum brought together over 140 technology and entrepreneurship leaders from Jordan and the United Kingdom to explore cooperation and investment opportunities in digital transformation, creative industries, electronic gaming, artificial intelligence and digital services, according to a ministry statement.
It also highlighted Jordan’s expanding role in the region’s fast-growing electronic gaming sector, with leading Jordanian companies taking part, the statement said.
Participants highlighted Jordan’s thriving technology ecosystem, which combines young talent with advanced infrastructure, making the country an attractive destination for global companies in technology and digital innovation.
British representatives emphasised the UK’s extensive expertise and strong investments in these sectors, noting that cooperation between the two countries offers a strategic opportunity for mutual growth, the statement said.
Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Sami Smirat expressed his appreciation to Crown Prince for his patronage of the forum, commending his ongoing support for Jordan’s digital transformation and the empowerment of young people.
“We are proud of the vision of HRH Crown Prince Hussein, which continues to inspire Jordan’s path toward development and innovation. Jordan is now steadily strengthening its position as a regional hub for digital innovation and investment in technology and the creative industries.”
He added that through the Jordan Source programme and the National Council for Future Technology, the Kingdom is forging strategic partnerships to create new opportunities in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, gaming and digital education.
On the sidelines of the forum, the minister met with representatives of leading global technology companies to explore cooperation and investment opportunities in the Jordanian market, and to discuss ways of transferring expertise and advanced technologies to support digital transformation projects and enhance digital skills in the Kingdom.
