AMMAN — The Swedish Embassy in Amman on Saturday launched the Swedish-Jordanian Business Guide 2026, in the presence of Swedish Ambassador to Jordan Maria Sargren, and Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yarub Qudah

Speaking at the launch, Qudah stressed the importance of continued cooperation between the government and the private sector to overcome obstacles, improve the business environment and strengthen bilateral partnerships.

He also highlighted investment opportunities in the Kingdom, particularly in major strategic projects, including the National Water Carrier, the national railway project and Amra City, as well as potential opportunities arising from Syria's reconstruction, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Qudah called on Swedish companies to capitalise on the investment opportunities available in the Kingdom and draw on their expertise to support development projects.

Sargren highlighted the importance of trust, long-term relationships, quality and innovation in Swedish business culture, noting their role in strengthening partnerships with Jordanian companies.

The launch was attended by representatives of the Swedish-Jordanian Business Network (SJBN), as well as officials from the public and private sectors.

The guide features Swedish companies operating in Jordan across several sectors, including healthcare, telecommunications, energy, water, industry, transport and consumer goods. It provides company profiles and contact details to facilitate business ties and explore opportunities for cooperation.

It also highlights key milestones in Jordanian-Swedish relations, trade exchanges, digital innovation in Sweden, and cultural and literary ties between the two countries.

Established in November 2022 during the King of Sweden's official visit to Jordan, the SJBN brings together Swedish companies operating in the Kingdom under the auspices of the Swedish Embassy. The network aims to promote the exchange of expertise and strengthen trade and economic cooperation.
