AMMAN — The Northern Military Region on Sunday thwarted an infiltration attempt along one of its border fronts after border guard forces detected an individual attempting to cross the border illegally.

 

Border Guard forces detected the suspect attempting to cross the border illegally, applied the rules of engagement, and arrested the individual before transferring them to competent authorities for legal action, according to a Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) statement.

 

JAF continues to secure the borders against infiltration attempts and illicit activities as part of its ongoing efforts to protect the Kingdom’s security and sovereignty.
