AMMAN — Dar Al Dawa Development and Investment Company, a leading Jordanian pharmaceutical manufacturer, reported a 49 per cent increase in net profit, interim financial results showed.

Owned by shareholders of the parent company, these revenues were achieved during the first half of 2026, reaching JD2.61 million, compared to JD1.72 million in the same period last year.

This increase was driven by improved operational performance and lower financing costs, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

According to the income statement submitted by the company to the Amman Stock Exchange, net profit for the target period reached JD2.60 million, compared with JD1.75 million a year earlier.

The company said revenues dropped to JD36.41 million in the first six months of the year, compared with JD37.31 million a year earlier.

However, the cost of sales declined at a faster rate to stand at JD19.99 million from JD21.66 million, which boosted gross profit to JD16.42 million from JD 15.66 million.

Operating profit rose to JD4.40 million, compared to JD3.67 million in the first half of 2025, despite an increase in administrative and research and development expenditures and expected credit losses and other expenses.
