A delegation from Hamas’ top leadership, headed by chief Khalil al-Hayya, met with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Istanbul on Saturday.

 

“The meeting focused on the latest developments regarding the Palestinian issue and the conditions in the Gaza Strip,” Hamas said in a statement.

 

The Hamas delegation presented the foreign minister with a detailed memorandum outlining what it described as Zionist breaches of the cease-fire agreement since its implementation to date.

 

Al-Hayya briefed Fidan on the difficult humanitarian and living conditions of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. He stressed Hamas’s commitment to the terms it agreed upon, including searching for and handing over the remaining bodies of ‘Israeli’ captives.
