AMMAN — The first activities of the sixth Jordan Summer Festival are scheduled to kick off on Friday evening across seven governorates: Amman, Balqa, Zarqa, Irbid, Mafraq, Jerash, and Ajloun, with free admission to all events.

 

The festival's activities will continue sequentially across the remaining governorates of the Kingdom according to the approved schedule, Al Mamlaka TV reported.

 

The festival features a diverse lineup of artistic, cultural, and entertainment activities tailored to various age groups.

 

On the artistic front, the festival will host national concerts performed by several Jordanian artists, in addition to folklore and traditional performances that reflect the richness and diversity of Jordanian heritage, alongside Dabke shows, traditional arts, and open-air musical evenings.

 

Cultural activities will include traditional exhibitions and introductory programmes on Jordanian folklore.

 

Creative segments for youth and children will be held under the "Talents from My Country" initiative, which aims to highlight and nurture young Jordanian talent in singing and music.

 

The festival sites will also host markets and bazaars for handicrafts, local produce, and traditional crafts, with the participation of productive societies and families from various governorates.

 

This initiative aims to support cultural and creative industries while stimulating the local economy.

 

Running every Friday until August 28, the sixth edition of the festival builds on the success of previous years, reinforcing the Ministry of Culture's approach to transforming culture into an active community activity linked to development, tourism, and family entertainment.

 

The event seeks to enhance the presence of culture in public life as a pillar for awareness, creativity, and social cohesion.
