AMMAN — The Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI) on Thursday signed incubation service agreements with five technology-driven start-ups and emerging ventures under the project “Empowering Small and Medium Industries through Fourth Industrial Revolution Technologies.”
The programme is being implemented in cooperation with the Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) and the InJo4.0 Centre, with support from the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply. It aims to advance digital transformation and promote the adoption of Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies, in line with the Economic Modernisation Vision, the ACI said.
The incubation services programme forms part of the project’s executive plan and seeks to support industrial and technology-based start-ups in developing innovative solutions to real challenges facing the Jordanian industrial sector.
The programme offers a comprehensive package of non-financial support, including mentoring and technical guidance, specialised assistance, access to facilities and advanced laboratories, and support for prototype development and proof-of-concept validation, tailored to the stage and needs of each project.
The six-month incubation period is structured in phases, starting with planning and feasibility assessment, followed by development and implementation, and concluding with market readiness. Progress will be monitored through regular follow-up and evaluation to ensure targeted outcomes are achieved.
The ACI said beneficiary projects were selected through an open call and a rigorous technical evaluation process based on clear criteria and overseen by a specialised committee, noting that the programme serves as a practical tool to strengthen the industrial entrepreneurship ecosystem and foster innovation in the sector.
