JAF deals with 156 drones, 132 missiles, 107 warheads during Israel-Iran air war

AMMAN — The Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) said they have dealt with 156 drones, 132 missiles, and 107 warheads during the recent regional tensions, in efforts aimed at preserving public safety and protecting civilian lives and property.
The announcement was made during a visit by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti to the Muwaffaq Al Salti Air Base on Wednesday, where he was briefed on the base’s operational activities during the recent escalation, as well as its regular missions, according to a JAF statement.
Several projectiles have fallen over many parts of the Kingdom, reported to be drones and missiles fired from Iran against its arch-foe Israel.
During nearly twelve days since June 13, flying objects have been spotted over the Kingdom, with police reporting the fall of drones and other projectiles on Amman and other parts of the country.
Hunaiti inspected several aircraft squadrons and reviewed the readiness and efficiency of air force personnel in responding to various scenarios.
The unit has dealt with approximately 156 drones, 107 warheads, and 132 missiles across various locations in the Kingdom, all in efforts to ensure public safety and protect lives and property, according to the commander.
As part of efforts to enhance infrastructure, Huneiti also inaugurated a new warehouse facility at the directorate, aimed at supporting the corps’ operational capacity. He praised the vital role of the Royal Engineering Corps and the efforts of its field teams, who are deployed across the Kingdom and contribute significantly to national safety and security.
At the conclusion of the visits, Huneiti conveyed the greetings and pride of His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces- Arab Army, to the servicemen across all ranks and locations, commending their dedication and loyalty in fulfilling their duties.
