U.S. President Donald Trump said on Thursday that he believes the war involving Iran will end “very soon.”

 

Speaking to reporters, Trump said, “I think it will end very soon because the Iranians cannot continue like this.”

 

 

Earlier, Trump said that “everything is going exceptionally well” regarding Iran and expressed satisfaction with the performance of U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

 

In a post on social media, Trump praised Hegseth’s work and dismissed as false a report claiming the two had disagreed over concerns about the depletion of U.S. missile stockpiles as a result of the conflict with Iran.

 

Trump also said that Iran had suffered “a crushing defeat at the hands of the United States”, adding that the objective was to ensure Iran would never acquire a nuclear weapon.

 

In a separate statement, Trump said the United States possesses an unlimited supply of ammunition and that the country’s stockpiles are in excellent condition. He added that while Washington always seeks to increase its ammunition reserves, it already has vast quantities and continues to receive supplies from around the world.
