Army chief, Pakistani military delegation discuss cooperation in UAVs, defence technology

AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Monday received Pakistan Air Commodore Brig. Gen. Faisal Khan and an accompanying delegation at the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) General Command.
During the meeting, Huneiti and Khan discussed ways to enhance bilateral military cooperation, particularly in the fields of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems and advanced defence technologies, according to a JAF statement.
The two sides also explored opportunities to expand technical and training cooperation to further develop the operational capabilities of the armed forces of both countries.
Huneiti underscored the deep-rooted ties between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, reiterating the JAF's commitment to broadening military cooperation and strengthening the exchange of expertise in line with advances in modern defence technologies.
For his part, Khan commended the JAF's high level of professionalism, efficiency and operational readiness, expressing his country's interest in further expanding military cooperation and expertise-sharing.
The meeting was attended by several senior JAF officers and the Pakistani military attaché in Amman.
