AMMAN — Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) President Wejdan Abu Elhaija on Thursday met with Vice President of the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission (IACC) Sami Salaita and a delegation from Syria’s Central Authority for Supervision and Inspection, led by Chairman Amer Ali.
The visit aimed to explore the university’s expertise and its methodology in integrating academic and applied aspects within its educational programmes, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During the visit, Abu Elhaija outlined PSUT’s vision, highlighting its commitment to the strategic directives of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, chair of PSUT's Board of Trustees.
She emphasised PSUT’s methodology in bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application to meet evolving labour market demands while upholding standards of institutional governance and integrity.
Salaita underscored the vital role of educational institutions in instilling values of transparency through specialised training and capacity building, praising PSUT’s pioneering regional status.
For his part, Ali praised the university as a global hub for technological advancement, expressing interest in leveraging PSUT’s expertise in digital transformation and artificial intelligence to enhance the operations of the authority.
He commended Jordan’s steadfast support for Syria, noting that the visit aims to bolster cooperation in anti-corruption efforts and institutional knowledge transfer.
The meeting concluded with a presentation on PSUT’s academic mechanisms and projects designed to boost digital sovereignty.
