AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi on Thursday discussed bilateral relations and regional developments with Slovenian Foreign Minister Tone Kajzer.
During a telephone call, Safadi congratulated Kajzer on assuming his new responsibilities as Slovenia’s minister of foreign affairs and discussed ways to bolster bilateral relations, build on progress achieved and open wider horizons for cooperation in various fields of mutual interest, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.
The two ministers also reviewed efforts to end the escalation in the region and restore security and stability, in light of the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran.
Safadi and Kajzer agreed to maintain coordination and consultation to follow up on efforts to enhance cooperation between the two friendly countries, as well as on regional and international issues of common concern.
