Jo-FinTech Festival 2026 to focus on regulation, innovation

The Jordan Times

AMMAN — The Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) is set to bring together banks, regulators, financial institutions, fintech innovators, investors and technology companies at the Jordan-FinTech Festival 2026, as the Kingdom seeks to strengthen its position as a regional fintech hub.

The festival will be held under the theme "Where Regulation Meets Innovation", the two-day festival will take place on September 23-24 at the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Centre at the Dead Sea, according to a CBJ statement.

The festival comes as advances in finance and technology continue to reshape economies and financial services, with Jordan seeking to leverage its regulatory environment, human capital, stability and connectivity to attract investment and support the growth of fintech businesses serving regional and international markets.

The event will provide a platform for policymakers, regulators, banking executives, fintech entrepreneurs, investors and technology specialists to exchange expertise, explore emerging trends and develop partnerships.

Building a fintech ecosystem

Jordan’s fintech ambitions extend beyond the adoption of digital financial services, with efforts focused on creating an ecosystem where new financial technologies can be developed, tested, scaled and exported to markets across the region and beyond.

The CBJ has sought to position the Kingdom as a regional centre for fintech innovation, with the sector viewed as a potential contributor to economic growth, financial inclusion, investment and more efficient, customer-focused financial services.

Initiatives including Jo-Fintech and JoRegBox form part of efforts to create an environment where innovation and regulation can develop alongside one another.

The approach emphasises responsible innovation, enabling regulation and sustainable growth, while providing fintech companies with an environment in which new products and business models can be tested and developed.

Connecting global innovation with regional markets

Jordan’s proposition extends beyond attracting international fintech companies to the Kingdom. It also seeks to create opportunities for international ideas and technologies to be introduced, tested and developed in Jordan, while enabling home-grown innovation to reach markets across the region and beyond.

The festival is positioned as a meeting point between global expertise and regional opportunities, bringing together financial institutions, regulators, investors and innovators.

The 2025 edition attracted more than 1,200 participants from over 31 countries and featured more than 40 speakers, according to organisers.

The 2026 edition aims to build on that international participation and further establish the festival as a platform for investment, partnerships and knowledge exchange in financial technology, according to the CBJ.

International, domestic partnerships

The festival is supported by strategic partners including the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ), the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Jordan and the Association of Banks in Jordan.

Their involvement reflects growing interest in Jordan’s fintech ecosystem and highlights the role of cooperation among international development partners, government institutions, banks, regulators and private-sector innovators.

For Jordan, the festival also offers an opportunity to promote the Kingdom as a destination for investment and technology partnerships, drawing on its stability, skilled workforce and links to regional markets.

The event will feature discussions on financial regulation, banking, fintech, investment, technology and entrepreneurship, with participants expected to explore developments shaping the future of finance.

With the Dead Sea as its venue, the Jordan FinTech Festival 2026 seeks to place the Kingdom at the centre of regional discussions on how financial innovation can be encouraged while maintaining the trust, security and regulatory safeguards required for sustainable growth.
