The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) announced Friday the death of a soldier in northern Gaza, in what it described as an “operational accident”.

 

Sgt. Yair Eliyahou, a combat engineering soldier in the northern brigade, was killed overnight in a combat-related operational accident in north Gaza, the statement said.

 

The IOF added that the circumstances of his death are still under investigation.
