The microbiologist, Dr. Montaser Belbisi, said that at least 40 of the 46 COVID-19 deaths recorded in Jordan Sunday were among those unvaccinated.

 

 

In an exclusive interview with Roya, he said that the risk factor leading to death is being unvaccinated, and thus, everyone must be vaccinated.

 

He expressed his hope that everyone would accept vaccinations, commit to wearing face masks and adhere to the required health measures.

 

In regards to the new variant, Omicron, he said that some information indicates that it is not as bad as expected, stressing the need to comply with health protocols and wearing face masks, in light of the high number of coronavirus cases.

 

As of Sunday, Dec. 5, a total of 3,776,263 people received two doses of the coronavirus vaccine.
