AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah has congratulated the national football team (The Nashama) for their qualification for the 2026 World Cup.

 

In a post on X Platform, the King wrote, “His Majesty King Abdullah on X :

 

"I heartily congratulate the sons and daughters of our dear people on our national football team’s qualification for the World Cup. This historic qualification is well-deserved by our team, which includes stars and staff we are proud of and cherish. Special thanks to our loyal fans who have been a pillar of support. The Nashama have always been, and will continue to be, true to their promise."

 

After a stunning 3-0 win over Oman and South Korea’s 2-0 victory against Iraq, Jordan has officially qualified for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, for the first time in history.
