AMMAN — The Social Security Corporation (SSC) on Monday announced a new mechanism that enables non-Jordanian workers to claim their insurance entitlements, including lump-sum compensation, upon their final departure from the Kingdom.
The move comes in implementation of a Cabinet decision to regularise the status of non-Jordanian workers from June until the end of September, according to a SSC statement.
The SSC said that the new mechanism is designed to streamline procedures for workers leaving the country permanently, allowing them to submit claims online through its e-services platform without the need to visit the Ministry of Labour or obtain prior approvals.
It added that applications are open to guest workers residing in the Kingdom during the status rectification period.
A new payout category titled “Final departure from the country” has been introduced within the corporation’s online services to facilitate the process.
The SSC also said that the relevant form for transferring lump-sum compensation outside Jordan is available on its website under the “Forms and Applications” section of its electronic library.
It urged applicants to follow instructional text messages sent to their mobile phones to complete the disbursement and transfer of their entitlements abroad after their final departure from the Kingdom.
