United States delays delivery of ammunition shipment to “Israel”

The United States, last week, put an ammunition shipment destined for “Israel” on hold - two “Israeli” officials told Axios.

This marks the first time the US has halted an arms shipment to the Israeli Occupation since the start of the latter’s aggression against the Gaza Strip on Oct. 7, 2023. As such, the incident raised “serious concerns inside the Israeli government and sent officials scrambling to understand why the shipment was held” - per Axios.

The decision comes at a time when US President Joe Biden is facing sharp rebuke and criticism for his country’s support of the aggression against Gaza, and also days after “Israeli” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu shrugged off American warnings and said his military will invade the southern border city of Rafah regardless whether a ceasefire deal is reached or not.

Last week on his regional tour, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with several regional leaders including Netanyahu, where he reportedly had a “tough” conversation with Netanyahu regarding the looming “Israeli” invasion of Rafah – something that the US opposes unless a concrete plan for evacuating the massive displaced population is presented by the Israeli Occupation government.
