AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah received a phone call from Somalia President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on Monday, and discussed the recent escalation in the region.

 

His Majesty underscored that ensuring the safety of Jordan’s citizens is the utmost priority, as well as preserving the Kingdom’s security and stability, according to a Royal Court statement.

 

The two sides emphasised that regional tensions need to be resolved through dialogue and diplomatic channels in order to achieve comprehensive calm.
