AMMAN — Jordan's industrial exports rose by 8.2 per cent to JD3.668 billion during the first five months of 2026, compared with the same period last year, according to a report released by the Jordan Chamber of Industry (JCI).

The report, cited by Al Mamlaka TV, showed that industrial exports accounted for approximately 95 per cent of Jordan's total national exports during the period, while covering around 45 per cent of the Kingdom's total imports.

The report reviewed key industrial export performance indicators, comparing results with previous years and identifying the main markets, sectors and products that contributed to export growth.

Manufacturing exports increased by 7 per cent during the January–May period, the report said.

The chemical and cosmetics industries remained the Kingdom's leading export sector, followed by the leather and garments sector and the engineering and electrical industries.

The report also identified Switzerland, China, Kenya and Thailand as the fastest-growing markets for Jordanian industrial exports in percentage terms during the first five months of the year.
